Bat-Fish Whimsy
In the course of educating & showing what can be made from reclaimed materials, Bat-Fish Whimsey was created. These items are predominantly accessories or accent pieces. From Spirit Dolls to backpacks, chokers to hats, they come from my place of continually trying different textile applications to make innovative pieces. Of course all the materials used are reclaimed and often infused with unconventional components.
Beauty comes in all shapes & sizes, and looking at elements in a new light can breathe life into discarded items. The planet needs us to see these objects with fresh eyes, becoming items of transitional & whimsical style.
Beauty is indeed in the eye of the beholder.

These earrings have been made from the inner tube of old bicycle tires and found objects, reworked, and up-cycled into beautiful wearable art.
