Tube*Bella
Tube Bella (Italian for beautiful tube) This line of jewelry is made from the inner tubes of bicycle tires & found objects consisting of pendants, earrings and the extraordinary Green Goddess necklaces. Sourcing the bicycle tubes from a local cycling store, the tubes are cleaned & cured for up to 6 weeks before being ready to be made into jewelry. Experimenting with different colour & texture applications my goal is to create an item of beauty, with the surprise that it is indeed made from the lowly inner tubes of bicycle tires. Each piece is as unique as the individual wearing it. Not only does it make a statement but gives this rubber waste a whole new lease on life, keeping it from the landfills.
