Who is Tracy Yerrell the Artist?
I’m a Canadian west coast based Eco Designer and the owner of Bat-Fish Studio.
But in my professional past as a senior corporate designer over the past 28 years, I had the privilege of working with a wide variety of corporate clients.

Working predominantly in Vancouver BC, I created market branding & campaigns for substantial clients. My first job after graduating art school was working for Expo 86 on the Vintage Car Show at BC Place. After working for 6 years as the west coast exhibit designer for ExpoSystems, I then established my own design company that was contracted by UBC Alumni to build cohesive brand identity and the Burnaby Arts Council for the development of the Jack Shadbolt Centre For The Arts.

My evolution to eco design has it’s roots in my own family as my mother was a fashion designer working in London in the 50’s, who inspired me to return to my creative roots and to follow my artist passion. I had always been extremely aware of textile waste & was motivated to make a difference by becoming an Eco Designer with my company ‘Bat-Fish Studio’ that I founded in 2014.
Now as an Eco Designer I am passionate about teaching how to look at so-called ‘waste materials’ in a creative & innovative way & bring that vision into reality by producing a clothing line that is not only beautiful but sustainable, innovative & original.
After moving to Victoria in 1994, I became the Marketing Director of the Victoria Conservatory of Music & then moved on to become the Marketing Specialist for the City of Saanich.
